EYEBROW THREADING

Is threading painful?
The majority of our customers have given us feedback that it is less discomforting than brow waxing. The great benefit of threading is it doesn’t make use of chemical products/irritants for hair removal; something that cannot be said for waxing. However, we do recognize that sometimes it can be uncomfortable for newcomers, and to that we say - try it out and if it’s not your cup of tea then waxing is A-ok as well!

Is this going to take forever?
Simple eyebrow threading is quick: usually 5-10 minutes. Threading on the face, etc. is more variable in time, but it is not prohibitively long.

How long does it last?
This depends and can be anywhere from 2-6 weeks. Remember, hair can be threaded as soon as it grows back ( while you must wait until it grows a certain length for waxing!).

Would my hair be darker after threading?
No. Actually, the opposite is true: it comes back finer as it becomes uprooted again and again.

Will my skin be irritated?
It is normal to experience a few pinkish “bumps” and that is just your skin responding to the recent removal of hairs from their follicles. This tends to subside within a few hours.

I have sensitive skin, will threading work?
Absolutely! You can google for Dermatologist recommendations if you don’t believe us :) The primary reason being that threading is just less irritating to skin (see above). Feedback from our customers with sensitive skin is that they have received significant relief when switching to threading from waxing. Pro tip: Please refrain from using harsh wax or depilatory creams if you skin is extra sensitive.

That sounds good, but what if I have acne?
Then you came to the right place :) Threading is safe, and actually preferable to sensitive skin with or without acne.

I am convinced. But can I request whatever brow shape I want?
Short answer: Yes. However, please consult with the threading expert regarding which shape will fit your face. With great power comes great responsibility, you know.

Totally forgot to tell you, I am a dude/guy - can you do threading?
Knew it! And Yes! Threading may be even better for men because if you wax or tweeze, then you may get a more “went somewhere, got something done” look. Threading will shape your eyebrows to give them a more natural look. Your S.O. may notice it, and those pesky office workers might marvel at your new look without the smack talk. So please come in and get your new look for your next important meeting, promotion, or date!

 EYELASH EXTENSIONS

Strip Lashes

How are strip lashes applied?
Strip lashes are applied using a water-soluble adhesive. They can be placed most easily with tweezers. The adhesive is applied to the strip lash and placed on top of your natural lashes near your eyelid, but not on the skin.

How long do strip lashes last?
Depending on how much adhesive is used (and how good of a bond you have), they should last through the end of the night. Sometimes you can sleep through the night with them on but it is rare that they stay in place. Most strip lashes can be cleaned and reused a few times.

How do you remove strip lashes?
If the correct type of adhesive is used for application, you can gently peel the strip lashes off your natural eyelashes. Sometimes it is easier to take a Q-tip dipped in soapy water and gently cleanse the adhesive loose from your natural lashes.

Can I get my strip lashes wet?
Swimming or bathing with the strip lashes on isn’t recommended. Since the adhesive is water-soluble, excessive water can loosen the glue.

Can I wear eye makeup with my strip lashes?
You can still wear eye makeup; however, application of eyeshadow is recommended prior to your strip lashes being applied. This is due to the eye shadow possibly falling on top of your strip lashes and making them appear “dirty”. Though it isn’t needed, if you desire to wear mascara in addition to your strip lashes, you can. Be sure to apply it very gently to the ends of your natural lashes after the strip lashes have been applied and had time to dry.

Are strip lashes harmful or damaging to my natural eyelashes?
If the strip lashes are applied/removed correctly, neither you nor your natural lashes will be harmed or damaged.

Cluster Lashes

Should I get Cluster Eyelashes or am I good candidate?
You must have some natural eyelashes to be a good candidate. If you do not have any or very few natural lashes, the professional will not have any place to adhere the Cluster lashes. The lashes are placed on the natural eyelash. They are not placed on the skin. If you have an oily skin type, the life span of the Cluster Eyelashes may lessen. Oily skin/products also weaken the adhesive used. You must be determined to follow the aftercare information and guidelines. If not, the lifespan of the Cluster Eyelashes may lessen.

How are Cluster Eyelashes applied to your natural eyelashes?
The professional will adhere each group of Cluster Eyelashes with a special type of glue, used specifically for eyelashes, to your natural eyelashes. A specially designed set of tweezers will be used to hold and place the Clusters on your natural eyelashes.

How long does the application process take?
Application can vary from 20 minutes to 45 minutes. Everyone reacts differently to the application process. If your eyes water, the process could take a little longer.

Are Cluster Eyelashes Safe or Harmful to my natural eyelashes?
When the eyelashes are applied correctly by a licensed professional, the application process is completely pain free and harmless. Your natural eyelashes can only be harmed or damaged if you attempt to remove them yourself (Not recommended).

Can I apply mascara to my Cluster Eyelashes?
It is not needed after application. However, you can use mascara on your bottom lashes. We recommend you do NOT use waterproof or oil-based mascara. These specific products can dissolve the bonding agent in the glue. This will shorten the life span of your new lashes. Only use water based (Oil-free) makeup remover and facial cleansers. DO NOT use eyelash curlers. This can damage the individual lashes or even your own natural lashes. The individual lashes already have a curl when applied.

How do I bathe/shower? Can I swim with Cluster Eyelashes?
We recommend showering with your door cracked to release some of the steam. DO NOT submerge your face under the water while showering/bathing. The weight of the water can damage the lashes and reduce their life span. A fine mist is fine. Swimming under water is not recommend.

How do I care for my Cluster Eyelashes?

  • Do not get lashes wet for 12-24 hours. Light misting is fine.
  • Avoid hot steam/sauna.
  • Avoid running water directly on your lashes.
  • Do not rub your eyes. The less touching, the better.
  • Only use water-based mascara (but definitely not needed) If applying mascara, do so from the middle to tip and avoid root area.
  • Do not get your new lashes permed.
  • Do not use an eyelash curler.
  • Do not pull on your lashes (this may cause damage or loss to your natural lashes)
  • Sleeping on your back is highly recommended. Changing your pillow case to silk/satin is also recommended.

How long will the Cluster Eyelashes last?
When applied correctly by a professional and aftercare specifically followed by the client, Cluster Eyelashes can last from 1 to 3 weeks. The time frame varies from each individual client, depending on your day to day activities, your skin type (oily/normal/dry), and how well you follow the aftercare instructions provided to you at your time of service.

How often should you get Fill-ins/Touch Ups?
Fill-ins/Touch Ups are not required. In some cases, factors such as excessive touching of the eyelashes or over exposure of steam, oily products/skin, or sleep positions/habits may cause touch ups to be needed.

Lash By Lash

How are the Individual lashes attached to your natural eyelashes?
The professional will adhere each individual eyelash with a special type of glue, used specifically for eyelashes, to your natural eyelashes (one by one). A specially designed set of tweezers will be used to hold and place the eyelashes on your natural eyelashes.

Should I get Lash by Lash (Individual) eyelashes or am I good candidate?
You must have some natural eyelashes to be a good candidate. If you do not have any or very few natural lashes, the professional will not have any place to adhere the individual lashes. The lashes are placed on each individual natural eyelash. They are not placed on the skin. If you have an oily skin type, the life span of the individual eyelashes may lessen. Oily skin/products weaken the adhesive used. You must be determined to follow the aftercare information and guidelines. If not, lifespan of the individual eyelashes may lessen.

How long does the application process take?
The application process can vary from 2 to 3 hours. Everyone reacts differently during the application process. If your eyes water, the process could last longer.

Are the Lash by Lash (Individual) Eyelashes Safe or Harmful to my natural eyelashes?
When the eyelashes are applied correctly by a licensed professional, the application process is completely pain free and harmless. Your natural eyelashes can only be harmed or damaged if you attempt to remove them yourself (Not recommended).

Can I apply mascara to my Lash by Lash (Individual) Eyelashes?
Though it is not needed after application, yes you can. However, DO NOT use waterproof or oil based mascara. These specific products can dissolve the bonding agent in the glue. This will shorten the life span of your new lashes. Additional care is needed when removing your mascara or even other eye makeup. Only use water based (Oil-free) makeup remover and facial cleansers. DO NOT use eyelash curlers. This can damage the individual lashes or even your own natural lashes. The individual lashes already have a curl when applied.

How long will Lash by Lash (Individual) Eyelashes last?
When applied correctly by a professional and aftercare specifically followed by the client, Lash by Lash (Individual) Eyelashes will last the length of your natural eyelashes’ growth cycle (45 to 65 days). The time frame varies from each individual client. Depending on your day to day activity, your skin type (oily/normal/dry), and how well you follow the aftercare instructions provided to you at your time of service.

How often should you get Fill-ins/Touch Ups?
Recommended Fill-ins/Touch Ups are every 2 to 3 weeks. A whole new set will be needed if you wait too long or do not get touch ups at all. Other factors, such as excessive touching of the eyelashes or over exposure of steam or oily products/skin may cause touch ups to be required more often.

EyeBrow & EyeLash Tinting

How long does this service take?
Eyebrow Tinting will take 3 to 4 minutes. Eyelash Tinting will take 10 minutes.

How does the tint get placed on the eyelashes/eyebrows?

Eyebrow Tinting Service Procedure:
The professional will use an angled brush and gently feather the tint product onto your eyebrows as you lay back with your eyes closed. They will go around the outline of your eyebrows with a dampened Q-tip to ensure there is no tint around your eyebrows or your skin. A timer will be set between 2 to 4 minutes (processing time). You will then have your eyebrows cleaned off with a soapy/damp cotton round/ball.

Eyelash Tinting Service Procedure:
You will lay back and the professional will a protective eye pad underneath your eye on the bottom lashes with a petroleum jelly or other lubricant product. They will also apply a small amount of the same lubricant on your eyelid using a Q-tip near (not on) your eyelashes. This is to help prevent the tint from staining your skin and getting into your eyes. An angled brush and/or microfiber brush will be used to apply the tint to your eyelashes. The timer will be set for 10 minutes. The professional will then remove the tint from your lashes using dampened Q-tips and will then lift off the eye pads. They will clean the lubricant off your skin and eyelids.

Can I wash my face after I get the tinting?
We recommend for you to NOT wash/cleanse your eyebrows/eyelashes for the first 24 hours. This can cause the tint to fade or come out completely. We also recommend you do not rub your eye after getting an eyelash tinting service for 24 hours. This can cause eye irritation. Swimming, crying, or sweating is recommended to be avoided in the first 24 hours.

What do I do if I have an allergic reaction? Or how will I know if I will before getting the service?
We have no way of knowing prior to the service if you will have an allergic reaction. You can always ask to have a patch test performed 24/48 hours prior to see if you will have an adverse reaction.

If you do have an allergic reaction, seek medical attention immediately. Call and notify your salon of your reaction so they can document it. An allergic reaction will not be due to the professional/salon that you received the service from/at. Everyone reacts differently to various products when applied to the skin. If need be, call prior and ask for ingredients in the products if you know of certain ingredients you are allergic to.
